Comment on this post to publish your journal entry about a character from your independent reading. Vanessa lives a miserable and unhealthy lifestyle. Vanessa feels alone, as if she "[belongs] somewhere else, anywhere." Although she is a young teenager, she has already attempted suicide. When her brother found her dying, he screamed and was frightened, but Vanessa "felt comfortable," for "dying isn't something to fear." She is very depressed at this stage in her life, considering all of her problems and she feels that cutting herself is the best way to release the pain inside.

Percy Jackson is one of the most dependable people I have ever read about. In this book he has amnesia and he still wants to help the people he just met. he woke up in there camp and didn't know who he was or where he was but he still helped them defend there camp. This just goes to show how dedicated he is. He also wants to help his friends that he cant ever remember. He only has a picture of his friends and he still wants to help them. This paragraph just goes to show how Percy is a very dependable person.
Clary is a girl shadow hunter that is strong and brave but is put down by the guy shadow hunters, saying she can not handle some challenges they can. "Clary, you mean well, but you don't know what the Sword entails." "I can handle this on my own." Clary is tired of being put down and would like to be taken seriously for the shadow hunter she is. To be treated as an equal.
ReplyDeletecammie morgan is very good at being seen for usually being known as the chameleon. " i saw news choppers beginning to swoop and swarm around us and i knew. i knew no one at the gallagher academy would be this careless". usually cammie (a.k.a. the chameleon) is the queen spy of not being found, but lately she's been in the spotlight alot. for a spy, news choppers surrounding you is not a very good sign. especially at a crucial time in a mission.

His study was a very curious place, it was a dim, old fashioned chamber, festooned with cobwebs and besprinkled with antique dust.He was interested in things that would make others turn the other way. Among many of the stories related of this mirror, it was fabled that the spirits of all the doctors deceased patients dwelt within its verge, and would stare him in the face whenever he looked thitherward.
ReplyDeleteJack Reacher is a very secretive and dangerous man. The FBI agent he was kidnapped with asked "who are you Reacher" he responded "Nobody". "he grabbed the driver, one hand on his collar and one hair in his hand and lifted him bodily across the aisle" to a matress. "Jammed his face down into the softness and leaned on him"."The guy kicked and thrashed" but "Reacher waited paitently until he died."

ReplyDeleteWill is a very talented young man. The people in his kingdom are amazed at his archery talent. When he led the skandians to victory by teaching many of them to use a bow it gave his country many new alleys.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Heidegger was an old, wise man who recognizes the value of his past adventures in life. This "old [gentleman's] eccentricity had become the nucleus of a thousand fantastic stories" throughout the years. Although he is quite venerable, he is "in no hurry to grow young again" after learning from his mistakes and becoming wiser from them.
ReplyDeleteTar is a young teenager who ran away from home because of his drunken dad beating him. He lives in a so called squat he's been "trying to clean out the last day or two." He has little money to live on so he tries not to beg. The owner of a store has been giving him free food to eat.
ReplyDeleteTo Jebel, Debbet Alg is the most amazing girl in all of Wadi. She is the same height as him, slim and curvey, with long legs, even longer hair, dazzling brown eyes, and teeth so white they may as well been carved from bits of the moon. Her skin was a delicious dark brown color and she always wore a long dress, with the a slit down the left to show off her legs.
ReplyDeleteWhen tommys brother gets shot in afganastan, his family has to meet him at a hospital far from their home. His brother is paralized from the waist down. He will never be able to fight or ride bulls again.
ReplyDeleteA vampire lives off blood, without it they "grow weak" and "they die". That reminds me of what humans are like, we must drink water in order for our bodies to keep going, if we don't have water or any liquids, we die.

Sebastipole seems like a very intelligent man with a great memory. he remembered that he "should know better than to mistake the parts of a ram in the company of a marine society lad". Sebastipole remembered after months of not seeing Rossamund who he was and even what foundlry he had come from. Sebastipole always remembered his promises also and never forgot anything, he was a man of his word.

Kylar is the one and only Night Angel. As he fought the beast, the beast "lost sight of Kylar-or Kylar disappeared." The cave became silent, all fighting stopped, and the beast began to look around and sniff the air. Kylar then fought the beast in a ninja way as his friend stabbed the beast in the eye. The creature "shrieked again and thrashed backward." It got quiet again as the beast splashed in the water.
ReplyDeleteMr.Gascoigne is a angry and a fierce man. He is a "ruined politician" with a "evil fame". He was corrupt. He "buried [his self] from the knowledge of the present generation."
ReplyDeleteBrain is very hopeless at this point in his life. He is lonly, scard, sad, and has no one. If he dose not get his mind straight he could possibly go crazy. I mean who wouldnt go crazy if you knew he was hopeless and never going to see or have anyone ever again.

His uncle Bilbo left him a peculiar ring, in which he tried to give to Gandalf the Grey " Do not try and give me the ring it will consume me in power you fool." He is then sent off on an adventure to destroy the ring, on the road a black rider stops "he sniffed the air and Frodo felt himself to put the ring on."

He is a bookbinder, or as his daughter Meggie calls him, the "book doctor." this profession requires an extreme amount of care, as he also uses in his ongoing attempt to keep his daughter out of the world of Inkheart. Once he "almost lost his wife, [Theresa], forever" by reading her into the story.
ReplyDeleteLuce is a teenager who has a hard life, and she doesn't know who she is yet. Daniel asked Luce why she dyed he hair blonde, because that is not who she is. Aggressively Luce snaped back "Well I'm the one who dyed it, Daniel. So technically it is me." Quietly Daniel said he didn't want her to be anyone than who is she. " Which is who, Daniel? Because if you know the answer to that, feel free to clue me in." Desperately Luce wants to learn who she is.
